Privacy policy
Last updated: 17 July 2026
ASK FOR IT connects athletes with clubs, coaches and scouts. To do so, the platform processes personal data. This policy explains which data, why, who can see it, how long it is kept and what your rights are. We commit never to sell your data nor to expose it beyond what the service requires.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is ASK FOR IT, the platform's publisher. For any question about your data, use our Contact page.
2. The data we collect
We only collect what you choose to enter in your profile and CV:
Identity
- first and last name
- date of birth and nationality
- country of residence and address
- profile photo
Contact details
- phone and WhatsApp
- email address
Sporting data
- position, height, weight, strong foot
- club history, statistics, honours, education
- links to your videos, photos, skills
Documents
- passport or ID card
- licence, medical certificate
- recommendation letter
3. Why we use this data
Your data is used solely to run the service:
- build and display your sports CV;
- let clubs and scouts find you through search by position, age, nationality, level, etc.;
- review your profile before publishing it;
- contact you about your account.
The basis for this processing is your consent: you create your profile and decide what you publish. You may withdraw it at any time by editing or deleting your profile.
4. Who can see your data
Not everyone sees the same thing:
- The public and visitors see your profile once it is approved: sporting identity, career, statistics, photos and videos. Neither your documents nor your references appear there.
- Identified scouts can, on an approved profile, download your non-sensitive files (CV, licence, recommendation letter).
- Our team (administrators) accesses your full profile to review and moderate it.
- Your references (coach, president, agent) are never shown publicly; they are shared only with identified scouts.
5. Your sensitive documents
Your passport, ID card and medical certificate receive special handling. They are stored in a private area, with no public web address: no one can reach them by guessing a link.
These identity documents can never be downloaded from the platform, not even by a scout. Only you and our team can access them. You will share them with a club yourself when the time comes, outside the platform.
6. Videos and external links
Your videos are not hosted by us: you paste a link to an external platform (YouTube, Hudl, Wyscout, Veo, Vimeo…). When you watch those videos, you are subject to the privacy rules of the platform concerned, which we do not control.
7. How long we keep your data
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. If you request deletion of your account, your profile, CV and documents are erased. Some information may be retained only for as long as strictly necessary to meet our legal obligations.
8. Your rights
At any time, you may:
- view your profile data;
- correct it yourself from your "My CV" page;
- request deletion of your account and your data;
- withdraw your consent by unpublishing your profile.
To exercise a right you cannot action yourself, write to us via our Contact page.
9. Minors
The platform is aimed in particular at young athletes. If you are a minor, you must create your profile with the agreement of your parent or legal guardian, who remains responsible for the information published. We pay particular attention to protecting minors' data, and especially their identity documents.
10. Cookies
The platform only uses cookies necessary for it to work: keeping your session open when you are logged in and securing forms. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may change, in particular when new features are added. The last-updated date appears at the top of this page. In case of a significant change, we will inform you.
12. Contact us
For any question about this policy or your personal data, use our Contact page.
